He worked as Reader in Economics and Principal [FAC]of a Government College and put in over three decades of active service in Government Sector. Further he worked as Principal of a PG College with MBA program approved by AICTE and affiliated to Kakatiya University for a period of four and a half years.
Dr. Venkataiah has been serving Chaitanya Institutions since 2007 as Principal of PG College and Director of International Relations. Presently, he is the Officer on Special Duty at Chaitanya (Deemed to be University).

He has completed a total service of 50 years as a teacher and an administrator in Higher Education Institutions with commitment. He was also a member of NAAC Peer Team Visits. He was honored with “State Best Teacher Award” in 2002 by the then Government of Andhra Pradesh.
